Biography
I've written articles for animal welfare groups, a children's horsemanship book and a weekly equine-related column for a local newspaper.
I've been a county humane and equine specialist. I've been a board member and volunteer for therapeutic riding programs and saddle clubs. I've organized and supervised and ridden mounted patrols.
I've trained, re-trained and schooled horses of many breeds and disciplines. I've given riding lessons to students of all ages and levels of competency since 1985. I've been nominated Horseperson of the Year . I hold clinician and instructor certifications and am a carded show judge.
With age comes wisdom and experience - intangibles one cannot buy or "fake". I've done many things since sitting astride my first pony at the age of four. More than 50 years have passed since that first ride and I've long lost track of the chronology of my own story. But, I've never lost my love and admiration of the horse, the thrill of racing the wind, nor the grin that accompanies the announcement that my horse and I have "first place". I have been very blessed - I have followed my dream and lived my passion. I wish for you the same blessing...
